Our Story

Perkins PsyCare Clinic is a family-funded and family-driven practice built with one mission in mind: to make mental health care accessible, reliable, and grounded in real science. This clinic represents the work, dedication, and resilience of the people who raised us, inspired us, and stood with us including the loved ones we’ve lost along the way. Their influence is part of why we follow through, why we honor every patient’s time, and why we take this work seriously.

We built this clinic to give people what so many never received: clear answers, dependable support, and care that actually makes sense. We specialize in understanding the brain behind the behavior, the nervous system behind the reaction, because mental health symptoms aren’t random and they’re rarely about “trying harder.” They come from patterns in the brain, biology, lived experience, and stress responses that deserve real evaluation and real explanation.

Through psychological testing, trauma-informed therapy, and modern behavioral science, our goal is simple: understand what’s happening, explain why it’s happening, and guide people toward what helps.

Perkins PsyCare Clinic is our family’s commitment to doing this work the right way, with clarity, structure, and a standard of care that honors where we come from and supports where our patients are going.

Our Primary Mental Care Services

Primary Mental Care Check-In

A quick, primary-care-style mental health assessment for children, teens, and adults.

Our Primary Mental Care Check-In is a short, practical visit (15–30 minutes) designed for moments when something feels off and you need fast clarity. It functions just like a primary care “sick visit,” but for your mental and emotional well-being. You don’t need a diagnosis or ongoing therapy, just a concern you want evaluated by a trained clinician.

This appointment helps you understand what is happening, what might be triggering the change, and what next steps are appropriate.

Adults (18+)Primary Mental Care

Maybe you’ve had a day where something feels off — overwhelmed, unfocused, or just not yourself — and you want someone to check in with you.

You pick up your phone, you find us, and you call.

If it’s urgent, we see you same day.

If it’s non-urgent, we fit you in same day or next day, in between our longer appointments.

The visit is quick — 15–30 minutes, and the cost is simple: $25 non-urgent, $45 urgent/same-day.

We talk through what you’re noticing, use brief DSM-5 screeners, and explain what might be going on. You leave with clear next steps, a short plan, and support.

You leave with answers, a plan, maybe a note for work or school, and the peace of handling it early.

Our Services

Psychological Testing

Our psychological testing covers the most common needs: ADHD, learning issues, PTSD, anxiety, depression, bipolar symptoms, behavior concerns, and diagnostic clarification. We offer fast scheduling, same-day ADHD screenings, and clear reports for school or work accommodations.

Adult example: You’ve been overwhelmed, distracted, and burnt out. Testing shows whether it’s ADHD, anxiety, trauma, or something else—so you finally know what to do next.

Child example: Your child struggles to focus, regulate emotions, or keep up in school. Testing clarifies what’s going on and gives you a plan you can act on right away.

Clear answers. Fast results. Real direction.
